Throughout his illustrious career with Grammy nominations under his belt, Mr Dennis Emanuel Brown has earned every award the Reggae world can convey. From Performer of the Year, to Song of the Year to Album of the Year.

Dennis has had more hits on the Jamaican charts than any other artist throughout the 80’s and 90’s.

Dennis Brown is buried in Jamaica's National Heroes Park in Kingston, an esteemed honor for an entertainer, making him the first to receive this burial. The site, often referred to as National Heroes Circle in Kingston, serves as a resting place where annual tributes and ceremonies are held to commemorate his profound impact on Jamaican music and culture as the "Crown Prince of Reggae.”

Dennis worked, created and supported his musical peers and bredrin. With such hits as “Money In My Pocket,” “Revolution,” “Wolf & Leopard, “Love Has Found Its Way,” to name a few, Dennis Emanuel Brown is unmistakably reggae’s most enduring Artist.

  • DENNIS BROWN WALK OF MUSIC

    17 MARCH 2026

    Reggae icon Dennis Brown was honoured with a commemorative paving stone on the Harlesden Walk of Music (Walk of Fame) in London, unveiled by Dennis Brown’s Wife and Widow, Mrs Yvonne Brown (Yvonne’s Special Label) alongside their two children Dennis Brown II and Marla Brown. The award, highlighting his role as the “Crown Prince of Reggae,” recognizes his massive contribution to music, with the stone located at Harlesden Library.

  • THE V&A MUSEUM THE MUSIC IS BLACK EXHIBITION

    18 APRIL 2026

    V&A East's inaugural exhibition, "The Music is Black: A British Story," opening in spring 2026, celebrates 125 years of Black British music, featuring influential artists like Dennis Brown. The exhibition highlights the impact of Black music on British culture and includes rare artifacts.

  • HARLESDEN WALK OF MUSIC CELEBRATION

    1 July 2026

    Marking Dennis Brown’s 27 year of his sudden depart and also being International Reggae Day, the Reggae Fraternity will be holding a bold outdoor celebration, to highlight all the Awardees of the Harlesden Walk of Music, positioning reggae as a core part of British cultural heritage.

Rolling Stone's 200 Greatest Singers of All Time (2023): Brown was ranked at number 67. The publication also noted him as the greatest Jamaican singer of all time.

Dennis Brown recorded over 100 albums and was a three-time Grammy nominee for Best Reggae Album (Light My Fire in 1994 and Let Me Be the One in 2001). Additionally, he was part of the 1982 nomination for Best Ethnic or Traditional Recording as part of the ensemble for Reggae Sunsplash - A Tribute to Bob Marley.
